Full F Type detail

Posted on

Our first F Type and it didn’t let us down. In for a full wash with Bubbles Shampoo, iGone fall out remover, hand polish with Restore and Shine and then a top off of Slippery When Wet and that’s just interior, what a car! The interior was degreased and cleaned with Mardy Cow and then dressed with Cowhide whilst the roof under went a deep clean and seal. My God I love this car…

Jaguar MK 2 hand polish

Posted on

This stunning Mk2 Jaguar was bought to our detailing side of our business as the paint needed just a little uplift. The customer specified we weren’t allowed to put a machine across her for his own reasons, he’s seen what we can do with machines so new we were competent, just didn’t want a machine.

After a wash with Bubbles and then a quick flash of iGone, out came Restore and Shine to take a fine layer away and reveal a beautiful bright red beneath, it was further enhanced by a coat of Slippery When Wet.

Result… A speechless customer who said in the 18 years of ownership it had never looked as good.

Mardy Cow and an A8 Seat

Posted on

A customer called us regarding his A8 saloon that needed a slight ‘spruce’ up before being sold. This seat was very typical of what the others looked like but after a short time with Super 8 Mardy Cow leather cleaner, a few brushes and a wet cloth, we got there. The customer was very happy with the result especially as the first person to view paid more than the asking price!

VW BBS wheels cleaned with Eau Rouge wheel cleaner

Posted on

This beautiful original condition classic VW Golf came to us for a full detail. The customer wanted it to look as near to when it was first bought.

Before we could start work on tired bodywork, that was getting a machine polish with Restore and Shine to pull out the metallic ‘pop’, we had to deal with the wheels. The BBS wheels were split rims so there was no way an acid cleaner should be used. The only choice for these was Super 8 Eau Rouge wheel cleaner. Its non acidic structure meant it would be gentle on the rims, but aggressive on the years of road film that filled every detail. A gentle spray, a long soak and a bit of work with some brushes lifted the dirt and bought back the shine.

Oh and she was finally coated in Slippery When Wet…

Mazda MX5 regular Ultimate wash

Posted on

This little MX5 is on a regular contract with us to have a wash with Ultimate shampoo. She’s no spring chicken and has had a machine polish about 20 months ago but with regular washing with Ultimate, she still looks as fresh as a daisy. Each time she’s done, someone always comes out from the other offices and says how gorgeous she looks, we love her…

Porsche Cayman Restore and Shine machine polish finished with Slippery When Wet

Posted on

Over years of hand washing, swirls marks naturally appear, paint fades and the quality of the general appearance just reduces and this newly acquired Porsche Cayman was no exception. It’s at this time that Restore and Shine comes in to its own, great at lifting light marks, a few hours with a polishing machine leaves a perfect finish for Slippery When Wet.

Alfa Uber test

Posted on

This Alfa has been on our books for about 18 months now. 2 or 3 times now she’s had a coating of Uber applied and still looks great. She lives outside and in Bournemouth on the cliffs so gets a proper battering from the weather, with the exception of our rural customers, this has to be one of our toughest locations. Her 6-8 week visits means she gets washed in Ultimate to help lift the shine

iGone fallout remover on BMW wheels

Posted on

Whilst we normally use iGone as a body fallout remover, it works equally well on your wheels. Clean them first with Eau Rouge to remove the dirt and oils, then spray a liberal coating of iGone and watch the theatre evolve in front of you (make sure they’re cold). It turns a deep red as it dissolves the deposits like a wicked witches brew. Give it a bit of agitation with a brush to help it a long a bit, remember, just because it needs help, it isn’t weak, it’s better when you’re working on a customers car to use caution rather than go at it ‘guns a blazing’, this is why we keep our customers, care…

Do not use on bare alloy wheels, I’ve not tested it there so don’t know what will happen, it’s fine on other surfaces though and our involvement with a local MG club means we clean a lot of chrome spoke wheel with no problems.

Why not post your pictures of your wheels bleeding for us to see…
